We are reviewing the best running shoes under 1000. Please note that this review is not the typical customer review. We have purchased the top-quality shoes and, together with my team, we have tested these shoes both in our lab and outdoors. Read more about how we tried and decided.
I have organized the shoes in ascending order based on criteria such as comfort, quality, fit, and other small details. I hope this guide helps you make a wise choice when selecting your next pair of running shoes.
Top Quality Best running shoes under 1000 in India
- Sparx SM 414
- Puma Propel 3D.
- Bond Street BSA024
- Lotto AROLDO
- Campus Maxico
Sparx SM 414
Bottom Line.
A top quality shoe comforts nicely, along with proper fit, premium look, superior EVA sole material, and many other factors, making us rank on #1.
Who should buy this?: Those who need a durable shoe with a soft feel.
Review: After spending a year of a term, we chose to put this Sparx on the #1 best running shoe list. As well as running, I also used this shoe at the gym and for badminton. I experienced great comfort in all places, especially while doing cardio. It was surprising how well it fits. And also, it has remarkable flexibility.
In terms of appearance, this pair pleasantly surprised us. Initially, when we ordered it, we didn’t quite like the design. However, when worn, it looks fantastic and gives off a premium vibe.
I can confidently state that these shoes will undoubtedly last for over a year, even with daily use. To illustrate, I purchased two pairs of these shoes for my elder brother. He typically needs new shoes every two months, even if they are from a brand like Puma. However, these shoes are still holding up after a year of use on his feet.
Pros: Great Built and comfortable
Con: We didn’t face any drawbacks, but if you have a knee knock, maybe you can experience heel slippage. So make sure you wear and tie up the lace properly.
Puma Propel 3D
Bottom Line
An extremely comfortable fitting shoe gives a feel like standing on the cushion.
Who should buy this?: Puma for those who are all seeking a comfy shoe with brand value.
* we recommend checking the direct store or Ajio for a better price.
Review: We didn’t expect to get a solid shoe like this from Puma for 980 rupees. Because Puma’s running variety range typically starts from 1400 and above, however, we got superior quality pairs.
Similar to the Sparx shoes I mentioned in the previous review, I wear these shoes in all the places I mentioned. They perform excellently in various aspects, including comfort, the feeling while wearing them, and flexibility. When I first put on these shoes, I felt like I was walking on cushions, or even better than that.
Even it offered better than the Sparx did, except for one thing. The thing is from the rubber outsole. We live in a hill station.
However, during rainy or wet conditions, we are cautious about wearing these shoes. The rubber outsole tends to feel slippery in such weather.
That is the only drawback that places this Puma shoe as the second-best option. However, I must emphasize that it still outperforms the Sparx shoes in this regard.
Important: We recommend you wear socks because your nails probably ruin the mesh.
Pros: High quality and comfortable.
Con: Slippery – to overcome this, If you’d like to choose the Puma, take a look at the sole.
Important: These two shoes are our top recommendations, but the choice ultimately rests with you.
Bond Street By Red Tape BSA024
Bottom Line.
A solid-condition shoe justifies the price and offers reasonable comfort.
Who should buy this?: If the priority is quality, this would be the perfect pair.
Review: Most people aren’t familiar with the red tape brand. It’s an Indian brand. The head office is in Delhi. They are good at manufacturing footwear along with apparel.
After reading some positive customer reviews, we decided to purchase this pair for testing. Upon wearing these shoes, I felt like I was standing on something incredibly sturdy, almost like bricks! This is thanks to the 1 1/8 inch EVA sole heel. It’s worth noting that one of our reviewers is shorter in height, and he particularly loved this pair for the added height it provided.
The quality of this shoe is outstanding. But it does not give comfort as much as the Puma and Sparx did. I mean, it provides enough cushioning for running and everyday use, so it’s reasonable for 700 rupees.
Pros: It offers enough comfort, but compared to others, it affords less.
Cons
- We don’t like the stiffness below the collar.
- There is a fluctuation in pricing. The price is 1000RS one day and 700RS the next.
Lotto AROLDO
Bottom Line: Lightweight shoe gives moderate comfort, but it is the only choice if you want to choose under 700.
Review: Lotto is an Italian brand, and they are famous for various good quality products among people. We believe this shoe deserves its name “lightweight”.
Another advantage of this pair is that it’s lighter than all of the shoes listed here. Additionally, the quality of the upper mesh is excellent. However, after some rigorous use, we did notice some wrinkles on the sole. Nevertheless, we believe it’s still worth purchasing.
However, we recommend this if you need an actual lightweight shoe or running out of money. Otherwise, consider any of the shoes we listed here.
Pros: Superb quality
Con: Wrinkles on the sole.
Campus
Bottom Line: A well-constructed shoe not only offers excellent comfort but also has the potential to last for more than a year.
Review: It is unfair to end the best shoe list without adding the budget king campus shoes. The campus is an actual king in the budget segment because they offer superior value products for people who like to stay at economical prices.
They have replicated the same effect here. During our testing of this shoe, we were particularly impressed with the cushioning it provides. I wore Puma as my primary shoe for a month, and after switching to this pair, I didn’t feel any significant difference between Puma and Campus, except for the shared slippery feel.
Pros: Good quality of the mesh, and it’s breathable.
Con: We don’t like the branding name that appeared in the shoe. However, it’s a personal choice.
How did we choose and test?
My teammates and I tested every one of the nine shoes we bought. After those tests, we presented the top 5 shoes, and this is how we came up with the list.
Important Note: These shoes are not for professional runners. So if you are a pro runner, take these shoes off your bucket list.
Consider it only if you are a casual runner or for daily use.
The places we tested: Initially, we made a decision to run a minimum of 5 kilometres daily for a week while wearing these shoes. Additionally, we used them on the treadmill and during cardio sessions, keeping in mind that they were running shoes. To assess their comfort level comprehensively, we also decided to use them in the gym and during badminton sessions.
Buying Guide for running shoes under 1000.
Finding great running shoes isn’t like arithmetic problems. It’s an undemanding job to find out.
Comfort: Comfort is the fundamental matter for running. It will also decide the way and how fast you run. So, make sure that your shoes offer better comfort with no disturbance for the big toe.
For example, to get proper comfort, there are three things. The first is to make sure your shoe size is a little bigger than your typical size. The size will slightly differ based on brands.
However, some shoe brands will show, “This product runs smaller or larger than normal”. Some major eCommerce sites have the proper structure, and they indicate the above message, so kindly read it before deciding.
The second important factor is the sole. EVA and rubber soles are the primary materials used in manufacturing running shoes. Both of these soles offer proper comfort and flexibility. Our recommendation is to choose EVA soles for the best experience.
The third thing is the cushion part. The cushion is an important thing to get proper comfort.
Stability and Neutral shoes
You may already know about these types. Each varies based on the inside. For example, the Stability model refers to the inside arc. This type will help you stay on your feet stably, preventing your feet from moving. Neutral Shoes will give extra comfort practically.
If you find that your feet aren’t very stable, opting for stability shoes would be an excellent choice to consider.
Some Worst Purchase
While our review, as I said before, we also bought the shoes from Provogue and Asian.
My review about the Asian and Provogue: I purchased this pair from an Asian brand for 700 rupees, but it didn’t provide the comfort I was looking for. Additionally, a significant drawback I encountered was that the insole pad wasn’t properly attached. As a result, I faced an annoying sensation every time I removed the shoe from my foot.
The second brand I tried was Provogue. Although I initially thought they would be comfortable based on their appearance, I was mistaken.
